Sree Gokulam Medical College & Research Foundation (SGMC&RF) was established in 2004 on a picturesque, verdant campus spread over 40 acres. It is managed by the Foundation of Non-Resident Indians Trust with the vision to emerge as a centre of excellence and set new standards in medical education, healthcare delivery and meaningful medical research. The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. Medical college hospital was established in 2004 with a vision to provide quality health care at an affordable cost to all the sections of our society. His Excellency, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, the then Honourable President of India, visited our campus in December 2005 and dedicated this institution to the nation.

Sree Gokulam Medical College & Research Foundation, a brainchild of our beloved chairman Sree Gokulam Gopalan, was established in the year 2004, receiving its first batch of 50 undergraduate students in the year 2005. Since then, the institution has grown expansively and currently admits 150 undergraduate medical students, more than 50 postgraduate and postdoctoral students in various specialities, more than a hundred students in undergraduate and postgraduate nursing courses and more than 50 students in various para-clinical courses every year. The medical college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur and is aligned with the regulatory body Medical Council of India.

The medical college campus spread over 40 acres houses the medical college and hospital buildings that have an immaculate blend of architectural excellence showcasing strong traditional exterior and modern and functional interior, that in a sense, defines our approach to our functioning.’ Sree Gokulam Medical College is a cohesive and progressive unit that aims for the personal growth and professional excellence of both its staff and the students through participatory governance, academic deliberations and non-academic interactions.

Sree Gokulam Medical College campus is nestled in the serene lush green splendour, away from the hustle-bustle of the busy city. The Campus provides peace and tranquility needed for the healthy living and education. With a vision to keep the nature minimally disturbed and to leave minimum carbon footprints, the management has taken numerous proactive steps to reduce the use of non-renewable energy resources, to recycle wherever possible and to increase the use of renewable energy resources to make the campus a self-sustainable green campus. Our students are constantly educated and encouraged to initiate and participate in various activities that nurture the nature.
