Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Govt. Ayurved College Raipur (C.G.) a pioneer institute of Ayurveda and counting as one of oldest institute of Ayurveda in India. It is located on the G.E. Road near the NIT, Raipur and functioning in aesthetically designed building. The institute is named in the honour of famous Malgujar Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthiji. 1949: | Govt. Ayurved College Raipur is spread in a huge, 89.3Acres of lush green eco-friendly campus. For this the famous Malgujar Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthiji donated five villages. Similarly a prominent businessman Late Shri N. K. Dungaji donated 23 Acres of land in the name of his father in law Late Shri Khudadad Dungaji. On this land at present Shri Khudadad Dungaji Govt. Ayurved College Hospital and Pharmacy are functioning. | |

1950: | Govt. Ayurved College Raipur, started as Ayurvedic School by the former Chief Minister Pt. Ravishankar Ji Shukla. At that time “Robrtasan Medical School” was established in Nagpur of Central India. This Ayurvedic school was started, on viewing of “Robrtasan Medical School”. The students of this Ayurvedic School were being awarded as a Licenciates Ayurved Practitioner (L.A.P.) certificate from Sagar University in undivided Madhya Pradesh. To provide a better utility to students in the school course Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi estblish a library by donating the cash in the memory of his wife Late. Smt. Rambharosi Devi Awasthi. Now the college library is named in honour of Late. Smt. Rambharosi Devi Awasthi. | |

2014: | Ayurveda vachaspati postgraduate courses in Dravyaguna (6 Seats) and Roga Nidan & Vikriti Vigyan (6 Seats) courses started. So far the institution has postgraduate degree courses in seven subjects. |
Presently the institute and atteched hospital is spread in 89.3 Acres of land under two major establishments i.e. Shri Narayan Prasad Avasthi Govt. Ayurved College and Shri Khudadad Dungaji Govt. Ayurved college hospital. The college offers Under Graduate degree course, Post Graduate degree course and certificate diploma course programs under the faculty of Ayurveda. The campus is very rich and vibrant in terms of having impressive infrastructure, renowned and extensively experienced teaching faculty, hospital and research centre, having 194 beds and most of diagnostic facilities under one roof. The Internet facility, e-learning centre, electrified with solar panel system, separate boy’s and girl’s hostel, well equipped planned herbal garden, residential quarters and other facilities are at par with one of the best campuses in the country.
The College takes a very strict view action against any kind of ragging activity and the campus is under strict vigil to prevent any ragging activity. The students in the campus are from different parts of state and country with different cultures. All efforts are being taken for smooth induction of the student orientation programs with the help of Departmental academicians. Facilities like internet access, e-library, canteen, pharmacy and State drug testing laboratory and research centre are also available in the campus itself.
Calendar of events, delineating the examination schedule and other important circulars are informed to every student during academic session at time to time, thus the students enable to plan and place their studies well in advance with great innovation.
