Rajiv Lochan Ayurved Medical College & Hospital is named after Lord Rajiv Lochan. Lord Rajiv Lochan who is the form of Lord Vishnu; whose temple is located on the banks of Mahanadi in the spiritual city of Rajim, Chhattisgarh.

Rajiv Lochan Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital was established in the year 2002 by Yuva Utthan Samiti (under F&S Registration Act 1973). Rajiv Lochan Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital is first private Ayurveda Medical College of the Chhattisgarh state. The college is situated at Village Chandkhuri of District Durg  at a distance of 9 kilometres from Durg Railway Station on Durg-Gunderdehi State Highway. The institution has been developed on 7 acre of land. College building, Hospital, Pharmacy, Hostels, Central Laboratory, Auditorium, etc have been developed within the college premises in accordance to the standards of Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). Herbal garden has been developed on 2 acre area within the college premises with rich collection of medicinal plants and trees.

  1. To provide the excellent and traditional Ayurvedic medical education to students into good environment so that they become competent and can satisfy the needs of society in traditional health care.
  2. To promote Ayurveda in every form and to encourage the establishment of cultivation, collection & marketing of medicinal herbs.
  3. To organize medical check up camps for diagnosis and treatment with Ayurvedic remedies including yoga, panchakarma & nature therapy.
  4. Proper exposure of Ayush students to community to understand community & social determinents of health to aid their contribution towards achieving the national health outcome goals.
  5. To conduct medical projects related to national programmes and health education for the people of rural areas.
  6. To organize workshops, seminars for various issues of Ayurveda & medicine.
  7. To organize various extension activities for students to cultivate social and moral values
