National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) SAS Nagar is placed 3rd under the pharmacy category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) for the year 2019. NIPER SAS Nagar was set up in 19191 by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER SAS Nagar is the first national-level institute in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute is working with the objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute conducts various educational programmes at the postgraduate and doctoral level and is currently offering degrees M.S. (Pharm.), M. Pharm, M. Tech. (Pharm.), M.B.A. (Pharm.), and PhD. The Institute is a member of Association of Indian Universities.

Clubs and Committees:

  • Alumni Association: NIPER has good networking for the alumni association. Alumni Association was formed to bring together alumni and well-wishers, to create a force that binds alumni, well-wishers, faculty and students together that provides support to the fulfilment of the institute’s mission.
  • Grievance Redressal Cell: The Grievance Redressal Cell of NIPER attempts to address genuine problems and complaints of students. Students are encouraged to use the suggestion boxes placed on different sections of the campus to express constructive suggestions and grievances.
  • Anti Ragging Committee: Anti-Ragging Committee of NIPER monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution. The committee makes sure there is no ragging happening on the campus.
