GMERS Medical College, Himmatnagar is an academic institution of repute under The Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat and located in the city of Himmatnagar, Capital of Gujarat State in Western India. It is one of the fastest growing Medical College of Gujarat. GMERS Medical College and Hospital is located in the city of Himmatnagar, Gujarat. The first batch of the Medical College was started in August 2014. The Medical College has been approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

GMERS Medical College and Hospital offers Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) program for the duration of 5 years and 6 months that includes an internship period of six months.

The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the MBBS program offered at GMERS is 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The selection of candidates is done through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

GOAL
The broad goal of the teaching of undergraduate student in Pathology is to provide the students with a comprehensive knowledge of the mechanisms and causes of disease, in order to enable him/her to achieve complete understanding of the natural history and clinical manifestations of disease.

Each year 150 seats are available for admission to the graduate medical course, leading to the award of the degree of M.B.B.S. of Gujarat University.

Prospective students for an undergraduate course leading towards a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree must have completed a HSC (10+2, or high school) with the Science stream, including the subjects Biology, Chemistry and Physics with at least 50% marks.
